These provider panels are for market context. A bullion dealer's retail price also includes product premium, spread, taxes, shipping and other costs.
Indicator summaries—not price predictions
The summaries below combine common oscillators and moving averages for the daily interval. “Buy,” “sell” and “neutral” are provider classifications, not GoldAlert recommendations.
A technical indicator is a transformation of past price data. It cannot incorporate every policy announcement, geopolitical event, liquidity change or dealer-market condition.
Events that can change rate and dollar expectations
Watch scheduled inflation, employment, growth and central-bank events. The calendar shows timing and reported values; it does not explain or predict gold's reaction.
Gold market news
Headlines can help identify a possible catalyst. Confirm the publication time, read the original story and compare the move with the chart before drawing a conclusion.
Four questions to ask when gold moves
Did real-rate expectations change?
Understand gold's opportunity cost and why the relationship can break.
Was the U.S. dollar involved?
Separate the dollar translation effect from other demand drivers.
Is structural demand changing?
Put central-bank purchases into a longer-term context.
Is this an inflation story?
Distinguish expected inflation, real yields and purchasing-power protection.
Frequently asked questions
Are these executable live prices?
No. Embedded data may be delayed and can differ from the price available through your broker, exchange or bullion dealer.
Does a technical “buy” label predict that gold will rise?
No. It summarizes selected indicators over a chosen interval. It is not a forecast, a probability or personalized advice.
Why focus on U.S. macro events?
Gold is commonly quoted in U.S. dollars. U.S. inflation, employment, growth and Federal Reserve events can change dollar and interest-rate expectations, although gold can respond differently from one event to the next.
